I FINALLY checked out GROM gelato on Christopher street! Man, was it a life-saver after the nastiness of the weather NYC has been having. Now, I rarely have gelato because of its richness and my obsession with Red Mango, but on Thursday, I made an exception and boy was I glad I did. I got the espresso flavor:
What’s really cool is that each month GROM offers different flavors, so it never gets old. Also, all the ingredients are natural and they explain just how they are sourced, so you’re getting the calories and the education. Why can’t big corporations be like this? From those selling ice cream in tubs in supermarkets to bigger chains like Baskin’s. Seriously, if we are to indulge must we indulge in chemicals too? Good for GROM for being different, delicious and SO friggen’ good on a hot summer day.
PS: Of course they have sorbets too, which I will make sure to try next time!
